Parking:
Parking is included with your reservation. If you are driving, you may park on the street, at a meter, and we pay meter fees. Parking is enforced Monday thru Friday 8 AM – 5 PM. If you are staying with us for one night, we will pay the meter from check-in, 3 PM until check-out, 11 AM. If you are staying with us for two nights, or more, we will provide you with a parking pass. The parking pass permits a visitor to park free at most meters anywhere in the city, to park longer than posted time limits, and to park free in three city parking garages.
Street Sweeping
Be sure to check with the front desk regarding sweep zones. The language on the street sweeping signs is unclear and confusing. For example, “No Parking 12:01 AM Saturday” means Friday night. Likewise, “No Parking 12:01 AM Sunday” means you will get a ticket if you leave your car overnight on Saturday night. If you are staying with us on a Tuesday, Friday, or Saturday night double check that your car is in the correct spot. Guests are responsible for complying with signs.
Directions to Savannah’s Bed & Breakfast Inn
Driving from I-95 North or South:
Take exit #99A onto I-16 East, toward Savannah. Follow I-16 for about 10 miles, where it gently ends in downtown Savannah. At the first traffic light, turn right onto Liberty Street. At the next light make another right onto Whitaker St (one way). Continue on Whitaker until the next light at Gaston St. Make a right onto Gaston. At the stop sign make a right onto Barnard. When you come to the first square you can only make a right and The Bed & Breakfast Inn will be on your right in the middle of the row. You will know us by the big American flag flying proudly outside our door. Come on in, we look forward to meeting you!
From Charleston:
Take Hwy 70 from Charleston towards Hilton Head Island and Beaufort, SC. At the Intersection of Hwy 70 and Hwy17, turn left toward Savannah. Follow Hwy 17 for about 7 miles. You will come to the magnificent Talmadge Memorial Bridge. You will drive across the Savannah River. If you look to your left, you will see Historic Savannah, as you come over the top of the bridge. The Oglethorpe Avenue exit will be to your right. Follow Oglethorpe Avenue, across MLK Jr. Blvd. The right lane will end and you will go through one stop light. At the next light make another right onto Whitaker St (one way). Continue on Whitaker until the next light at Gaston St. Make a right onto Gaston. At the stop sign make a right onto Barnard. From Atlanta, GA:
Take I-75 South toward Macon. On the South side of Macon, take I-16 East, toward Savannah. (Caution: The exit to I-16 is from the left lane and is a bit abrupt.) Follow I-16 East for about 165 miles, until it gently ends in downtown Savannah. Turn right onto Liberty. At the next light make another right onto Whitaker St (one way). Continue on Whitaker until the next light at Gaston St. Make a right onto Gaston. At the stop sign make a right onto Barnard. If You Get Lost
If you should find yourself lost, and it is easy to do, call us at 912-238-0518 for a prompt rescue. Among the confusion, there is a West Gordon and an East Gordon. The change from west to east is easy to miss, as one runs immediately into the other.
