Traditional Rooms

Our Traditional rooms are scattered throughout the Inn.  Some are located on street level, parlor level, or up one flight of internal stairs.

The Jasmine Room

Perfect for a romantic getaway, this room is named for the scent of jasmine that lingers in the air on our sunny spring afternoons. This room is painted in a rich tropical persimmon and is located off of our back deck which overlooks our beautifully manicured courtyard. Adorned with a magnificent, queen-sized poster bed with a canopy crown, this room provides lots of natural light and has a cozy sitting area.

The Oriental Room

Unwind in a room that reflects the luxury of the orient.  This exotic room is furnished with a queen-size four poster bed, and a decor of rich red, exposed brick walls and a brick fireplace.  Located on the rear of the main house overlooking our courtyard, this room is only up one set of stairs.

The Library

Spend an evening or two in the library.  This delightful sunny room is decorated with an elegant queen-size, four poster bed and a beautiful fireplace.  This light-filled room was given its name because of the amazing selection of books ranging a wide variety of genres.  It is located on the front of the house and is only up one flight of stairs.

 The Parlor Room

You will feel like royalty as you enter this regal room adorned with an opulent, queen-size, four-poster bed,  This spacious room has a soothing light rosemary-green paint, one exposed-brick wall, and a decorative fireplace.  It also has a sitting area and a gorgeous view of Chatham Square.  Located on the main level, this room is one of our most conveniently located.

 The Tomochichi

This room is named in honor of Savannah’s original host, Chief Tomochichi of the Yamacraw tribe who allowed General James Oglethorpe to settle our unique city.  The Tomochichi is a delightfully warm room with a queen-size, four-poster bed and exposed brick walls.  It is located on street level and conveniently has a private door leading out to a sitting area in our courtyard.

 The Oglethorpe Room

Named in honor of Savannah’s founder, General James Oglethorpe, this room is furnished with two queen-size beds with matching ornate mahogany headboards.  Conveniently located on street level, the decor is lovely with granny smith green paint, one exposed-brick wall, and a decorative fireplace.

 The Holly Room

You will feel like one of the family in the Holly room.  Named after the owner’s daughter, the Holly is decorated with adorable artwork and pale green walls.  It is a large room with beautiful windows that let in both lots of sunlight and a gorgeous view of Chatham Square.  Located a few doors away from the main house and up a single flight of internal stairs.

 The Azalea Room

A lovely suite, the Azalea is the perfect room for a small group of friends or family with older children.  The Azalea contains a private bath and two bedrooms each with a comfortable queen-size bed.  Classical brick walls are accented with azure decor and decorative fireplaces.  For privacy, it is a few doors away from the main house and located up one flight of internal stairs.

 The Tree Top Suite

This spacious suite is perfect for a totally private escape from the stresses of daily life.  Besides having a stunning view of the city and lots of character, this suite also has exposed brick walls and two decorative fireplaces.  Complete with a living room, dining room, kitchenette, and separate bedroom, the coziness of the tree top awaits you.  Up two flights of stairs the tree top boasts the best view of all the rooms of the inn.

 The Turkish Room

Get a small taste of the Near East as you step into this exquisitely decorated room with two beautiful, twin-size, four-poster beds.  Two large windows facing Chatham Square allow for lots of natural light and a beautiful view.  Climb one flight of internal stairs to one of the most unique rooms in the inn.

The Cottage on the Lane

The size and amenities in the Cottage on the Lane should characterize this room as a Choice room, however we choose to price it as a traditional room because the location is less convenient (a 30 second stroll around the row).  Guests who would prefer rooms within the main house should not ask for the Cottage on the Lane.

A short stroll down the lane leads our guests to an extremely private cottage.  Originally a carriage house, it has been renovated into a space with classic decor and modern amenities such as a full kitchen and breakfast nook.  The bedroom is located up one flight of stairs and has a deluxe king size bed with a spectacular ornate mahogany headboard.  This cottage has the option of two twin beds instead of the king (by request) and a roll-away bed for multiple travelers. It is a special request for guests who stay for longer visits or prefer the most privacy available.

The Cottage on the Lane is one of our best suites.  We consider it a tradional room, instead of a choice room, because it is the furthest away from the main house.  Many guests consider the Cottage their "Savannah vacation home."

The Mercer and Telfair

Newly renovated rooms sitting next to each other in our 121 building (directly next to the Inn).  The Mercer in the back of the house breathes in the afternoon sun and is a warm bright room with lots of positve energy.  The Telfair in the front of the house overlooks Chatham square below.   The Telfair is a delightfully soothing room with a decorative fireplace and one you will look forward to returning to.  Both rooms are located up one flight of internal stairs (2 from the street).
